It seems only fair that one of this year’s tournament honorees would be a youth soccer referee. Tom or T-Bone as he is affectionately known to his family is a huge fan of all sports. He’s a baseball player, a fantasy sports addict, and die-hard fan of both Alabama and Texas A&M football.
On the soccer field Tom has enjoyed his role as one of the guys nobody cheers for. He always tries to be fair but admits that just once he would love to be able to give his sister Mary who plays for the Albion Hurricanes a Red Card! Tom has been battling Acute Lymphoid Leukemia since August of 2008. In January of 2009 he received a bone marrow transplant and is doing well. Let’s hope that Tom can give cancer the Red Card it deserves.
Tom is an honor student at John Paul II Middle School. Next fall he will attend Strake Jesuit College Preparatory. His favorite soccer team is the Houston Dynamo and his favorite soccer player is Craig Waibel.
