ABOUT NICK'S TEAM
Nick’s Team was founded in June of 2007 when a group of dedicated, energetic “Soccer Moms” led by Adriana Gonzalez and Ana Matamoras decided they wanted to do something to help Nick and his family. To raise money they organized a 6 vs. 6 Soccer Tournament. Six months later, with the encouragement of Nick and his family, they turned their little soccer tournament into its own foundation dedicated to helping EVERY child who is fighting childhood cancer.
The Annual 6 v. 6 Tournament remains the signature event of Nick’s Team. Each year it is played in honor of youth soccer players and fans who are being treated for childhood cancer. The 2009 honorees are Blake Lieberman, Tom T-Bone Heiberger, Natalia Lopez, Rodolfo Ramirez, and Jonathan O’Malley.
Nick’s Team isn’t just one team. It’s Team Blake, Team T-Bone, and the teams, families, and friends that support every child fighting cancer.
